“We had some overgrown trees making our brick house look neglected, and Garden City came out to assess the situation. The crew was professional and worked efficiently. They pruned back the branches away from the foundation, and the whole property looks so much more open now. Really impressed with how they handled the disposal too—nothing left behind.”
Brick house landscaping trim
“After they cleared the old sod, we were worried about drainage issues on our sloped yard. The team graded it properly before the seeding went in, and the water now runs away from the house instead of pooling. Happy with the attention to detail on that part of the job.”
New lawn seeding and prep
“Contacted them in January when we couldn't tell if one of our trees was dead or just dormant. The arborist came out, explained the situation clearly, and recommended we wait until spring to decide on removal. That kind of honest advice saved us money. When we did call back in March, they got us scheduled quickly.”
Winter tree assessment
“That old oak in our backyard was getting too heavy on one side, and we were nervous about hiring someone. Garden City sent out a certified arborist who explained exactly what they would do and why. The pruning was surgical, not butchering. The tree looks balanced now and we feel much safer having it nearby. Quote response took a bit long, but the work itself was flawless.”
Mature tree pruning work
“Our driveway was washing out every spring because water was running straight off the slope. They regraded the whole approach and installed proper drainage channels. This past month we had heavy rain and nothing pooled or eroded. Relief doesn't cover it; we were really worried about the foundation.”
Driveway erosion control
“We called them in October because a massive maple was dropping branches onto our roof. The crew showed up with the right equipment and worked through the whole thing in one day. They took out about 2 metres of deadwood from inside the canopy. The place was spotless when they left, and the tree is going to make it through the winter strong.”

|---|---|---|
| Tree Removal | Free estimate | Full removals across the city and the wider region, from narrow canal-side lots to open vineyard acreage. Crews dismantle in sections where a house, garage or pool sits in the drop zone. |
| Tree Trimming | From $215 | Crown thinning and reduction on the silver maple, black walnut, hackberry and red oak that shade this city's older streets. Cuts are made at the branch collar so the tree can close the wound properly. |
| Tree Pruning | From $185 | Structural and maintenance pruning for young and mature trees: crossing limbs, weak forks and clearance from roofs, garages and laneways. Work follows recognised standards, and topping is never offered. |
| 24/7 Emergency Tree Removal | Free estimate | Rapid response after the ice loading and the wind off the lake that this peninsula gets every winter: split stems, torn limbs and trees down across driveways. The area is made safe first, then dismantled. |
| Stump Grinding | From $105 | Stumps ground below grade so the ground can be sodded, planted or paved. Chips are raked out or left as mulch, and the area is levelled before the crew leaves. |
| Full Stump & Root Removal | Free estimate | Complete excavation of the stump and main root plate where a garage pad, driveway, pool or new planting needs clear ground rather than a ground-down surface. |
| Hedge & Cedar Hedge Trimming | From $55 | Cedar, yew, privet and mixed hedges cut back to line with the sides tapered so light reaches the base. Clippings are cleared the same day, including anything on the neighbour's side. |
| Tree Cabling & Bracing | Free estimate | Dynamic cabling for mature trees with weak unions or a splitting stem, installed after the structure is inspected. Common on the big silver maples carrying heavy codominant leads over driveways. |
| Emerald Ash Borer Treatment | Free estimate | Assessment and trunk-injection treatment for ash still healthy enough to save, and a staged replacement plan where the infestation has gone too far. The borer has been established across this peninsula for years. |
| Ash Tree Removal | Free estimate | Removal of ash killed or structurally compromised by the borer, dismantled while the wood is still sound enough to climb and rig safely, with disposal handled appropriately. |
| Wood Chipping | From $85 | On-site chipping of brush from a trim, a storm or an orchard clean-up. Chips leave with the crew or stay as mulch around beds and the root areas of established trees. |
| Deadwood & Branch Removal | From $75 | Targeted removal of dead, broken and hanging limbs from mature trees. A light, quick visit that sharply reduces the chance of branch failure under the next heavy ice load. |
| Trees Near Power Lines | Free estimate | Clearance of branches contacting the private service mast and drop belonging to the property. The distribution network itself belongs to the local electricity distributor and only they may work on it. |
| Fruit Tree Pruning | From $125 | Peach, cherry, pear, apple and plum pruned for an open centre and manageable height. This is fruit-belt country, and the orchard species here need their own timing rather than a generic schedule. |
| Tree Planting | From $175 | Species selection for this mild lake-moderated climate and its clay-loam soils, planted at proper root-flare depth with staking and mulch. Carolinian species do well here on the right site. |
| Lot & Land Clearing | Free estimate | Clearing building lots, opening orchard and vineyard access, and renewing failing windbreak rows. Felling, extraction and stump work are coordinated in one mobilisation of equipment. |
| Tree Disease Diagnosis | From $90 | Inspection of the crown, trunk, root flare and surrounding soil to identify decay fungi, cankers, boring insects and root problems, followed by a written recommendation: treat, prune or remove. |
| Arborist Report & Risk Assessment | From $120 | Written assessment of tree condition, stability and retention value, prepared in the format commonly required to support a municipal permit application or a development submission. |
